I wouldn't worry about what other people think. Only after you take care of yourself and your family (and in that order) can you care for others. Focus on yourself and your family for as long as you have to. Once you are rejuvenated, once your mind is clear, you'll be able to see everything around you more clearly, and you'll be able to help others even more. If you're tired, if you're weary, what can you possibly give? You'll know when you're ready to go back to church and when you're ready to teach. Trust yourself.
